Job Description
We seeking an Associate Product Owner to work with Product Owners for the evolution of the Neospin Benefit Administration Solutions.
The Associate Product Owner (APO) supports the Product Owner by managing the backlog, creating user stories and acceptance criteria, and ensuring backlog readiness for the Agile team. The APO tests and validates user stories against the Definition of Done (DoD), assists in creating key product artifacts and supports iteration demos. They help ensure high-quality product delivery by expanding their knowledge of the product and its configurability.
Neospin Benefit Administration Solutions are implemented by Sagitec teams across clients in the US and internationally.
Mandatory Qualifications
• Intermediate proficiency in ALM tools such as Azure DevOps for product epic, features, stories, design documentation, test cases, and bugs.
• Fundamental proficiency in product development or implementation of Benefit/Pension/Finance/Insurance administration systems or similar domains.
• Fundamental proficiency in SAFe or similar agile framework focused on product owner role.
• Intermediate proficiency in teamwork, customer/team communication, and collaboration.
• Fundamental proficiency in critical thinking skills.
• Customer-centric mindset, Built-in Quality focus, Objective focus, Continuous improvement and innovations, team-first attitude.
Additional Qualifications:
• 2+ years of software development/implementation experience in roles like Associate Product Owner or Business Analyst.
• A bachelor’s or equivalent degree in MIS, computer science, or financial majors.
As an Associate Product Owner at Sagitec, you will perform the following:
Primary Responsibilities
• Create Backlog by understanding the requirements identified for MVP Prioritization criteria by the Product Owner, creating user stories, enablers, and acceptance criteria to support the Product Owner and the Agile team in meeting iteration objectives and delivering high-quality features.
• Support Agile team by testing and closing iteration user stories on time to validate acceptance criteria, ensuring adherence to the Definition of Done (DoD) and updating it as needed, while also preparing materials, validating functionality, and assisting in showcasing product capabilities during iteration demos, ensuring timely completion of elaboration activities.
• Enable rollout of the product to customers by creating Functional Work Items (FWIs) under the appropriate solution blocks, ensuring comprehensive and accurate design documentation as per guidelines and standards, and demonstration scripts.
• Continuously expand knowledge of the products and their configurability.
Ancillary Responsibilities:
Support Agile team members including Team Coach, Developers, and Testers by providing clarification and ongoing support to ensure alignment with acceptance criteria and timely resolution of development questions
